Producer, Leishman Performance Hall
CenterPoint Theatre provides much-needed opportunities for virtually anyone to expand their talents of singing, dancing and acting, and to do so in an environment that is friendly and professional. I originally got started in theater because I love acting. Becoming someone else and presenting their story, can be a life-changing experience. And I suppose I got addicted to the sound of people applauding my performance.
I originally became involved at Rodgers Memorial Theater as a performer. My wife, Laurie, and I volunteered as ushers and greeters. When CenterPoint opened, we became involved with ushering and the volunteers. A couple of years later, I was asked to be the Producer of the productions in Leishman Performance Hall.
I don’t really have a favorite project, but my favorite benefit of working at CenterPoint is associating with so many wonderful and talented actors and production staff. My favorite musical is Madison Square Garden’s A Christmas Carol–it’s a great story of redemption. My wife Laurie and I have 4 children and 3 in-law children. They have worked with us at the theater ushering, building sets and volunteering for events. They are all caring, compassionate and wonderful–of course, they learned these traits from Laurie.
