Theater is storytelling. Theater allows us to experience stories that illustrate hope, pain; love, loss; triumphs and failures. Theater helps us become more tolerant of those that are not like us and builds a platform for finding similarities instead of focusing solely on the differences. Theater aids our capacity for learning and provides diverse perspectives. Theater creates connection.

My involvement with the organization started as a kid at Rodgers Memorial Theatre when my dad asked me to volunteer by putting a paint brush in my hand. From there I’ve been involved in almost every facet of the theater, except for being on stage 🙂 West Side Story will always be a favorite because I grew up watching the movie. Every production I work on provides a new learning opportunity, challenge, perspective, friendship and gratitude.
