Friend to Friend: Theatre for Special Needs
THEATRE FOR SPECIAL NEEDS YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS
THEATRE FOR SPECIAL NEEDS YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS
Friend to Friend classes are offered, free of charge, to bring special needs youth and young adults together in fun to explore the magical world of theatre. Classes meet each Friday in the Main Rehearsal Hall at CenterPoint Theatre. The classes work towards two productions each year on CenterPoint’s Barlow Main Stage, one in June and one in December.
We utilize movement, dancing, acting and singing to promote social skills, improved confidence, self-expression and peer appreciation. Our goal is to strengthen each student’s flexibility, endurance, rhythm, music recognition, vocal performance, imagination and memory. All classes are held in the Main Rehearsal Hall in the basement.
