Evita

ABOUT THE SHOW

Evita

Evita is the true-life story of Argentinian first lady Eva Peron set to an electrifying score. The story follows Evita’s early life, rise to power, charity work, and death. With rousing music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Evita burst onto the scene in 1976 with a successful rock opera album before conquering London’s West End and Broadway, winning Best Musical at both the Olivier and Tony Awards. It was eventually adapted into a successful motion picture starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas. Students from the community and CenterPoint Academy will tell the story in a powerful, fully costumed and choreographed concert staging.
